Nearly 900 projects to get complete within six months in Noida

On Monday the UP-Rera secretary Rajesh Tyagi said that the project in the area that have remained incomplete & under construction due to the pandemic will be given six month for completion.

The extension of the project was announced by the state government during the lockdown, which only covered the project that was due in 2020 but later the secretary said that were under construction in march last year will also get the benefit.

The construction activities in the area took a halt when the pandemic hit the country which leads to a mass moment of the labor force & only around 40000 workers were retained by the builders out of 4 to 5 lack that were on the project before the Pandemic.

The Rajesh Tyagi said “The cut-off date is March 25. Any project that was under construction March 26 onwards has been given an extra six months to complete, irrespective of the stage in which the project was at the onset of this policy,”

The Noida & greater Noida have a huge backlog of the project & the buyers have been waiting for more than 9 years for their project that has not been completed. Furthermore, delays in the project have added to the miseries of the buyers.

One of the fat owners said that “We understand that the situation but we are also under financial constraints as there is a continuous pressure of rent & EMIs”.
